Ready to get down to business? Great. Let’s get started!

The first of my top props for the Daytona 500 in 2021 doesn’t come with huge odds.

Regardless, I think it’s nothing short of an awesome bet. Why? Well, let’s just say that there is reason to believe that Austin Dillon should fare better in this race than Matt Di Benedetto.

You might be asking what I have to back up such claims?

Betting on Daytona 500 props is fun, sure. But it’s always nice to back things up with data.

Dillon’s surprise win in the 2018 edition of this race definitely makes him a driver to keep an eye on.

I spoke a little about his chances when I named him among the top sleepers for the 2021 Daytona 500. He is worth some spare change at +4000 to win, but as far as props for the Daytona 500 go, his odds to finish above Di Benedetto are totally worth it.

Not only does he have a win at Daytona, but he is also more experienced on the track, in general. His average finish at “The World Center of Racing” is stronger, too. He is a recent Duel winner at the track and should be better equipped to finish higher than Di Benedetto.

For a solid prop bet for the Daytona 500 to wager on, look no further!

Whether it’s prop bets or straights, if you are betting on the 2021 Daytona 500, it’s worth knowing that Toyota has won just three Daytona 500 titles.

But when you consider that they only entered NASCAR in 2007, that’s not too shabby at all.

The Japanese manufacturer clinched the title in 2020, 2019, and 2016, giving them the same number of wins as other iconic makes.

Toyota is tied with Mercury (1968, 1972, 1976), Oldsmobile (1959, 1979, 1980), Pontiac (1961, 1962, 1983), and Buick (1981, 1982, 1988) when it comes to all-time wins in the “Super Bowl of NASCAR.”

Now, Toyota’s success is all down to one driver. If you’re gambling on any Daytona prop bets that include Toyota winning this race, it will essentially be a bet on Denny Hamlin, right?

Wrong.

There is more to Toyota than Hamlin, but it does help that he is so good.

Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Christopher Bell, Bubba Wallace, and Ty Dillon are all in the Toyota family, too.

The first name above, Bush, is fresh off a win at the Busch Clash at Daytona. Truex, while not my pick for this race, has the talent and car to cause an upset.

Bell, Wallace, and Dillon will also be confident of making their marks on the race.

If you’re betting Daytona 500 props for real money, the odds here are pretty good. Helped, of course, by the fact that the winner of the last two editions of this race is part of the Toyota list.

Hamlin is my pick to win the 2021 race. I think he can three-peat this Sunday, and you can read more about that in my prediction and pick for the Daytona 500.

Ryan Newman for a Top 10 Finish (+190)

If you’re looking for really good Daytona 500 props to bet on, consider adding this one to your list.

Newman is a wily old veteran with a very solid record at Daytona.

The veteran’s return from his last six starts is impressive. And that makes me a little more confident about betting on Daytona 500 props where he is involved. After all, form counts.

Newman won the 2008 Daytona 500 and finished third two years before that.

In a race as unpredictable as this, experience and nous count. Newman has both in abundance and could even be worth a couple of dollars to win the 2021 Daytona 500.

I wouldn’t this particular wager is an insane gamble. Rather, it’s a measured Daytona 500 prop bet that has a real chance of coming through for you.

How To Bet On The Daytona 500

Newman’s straight-up odds to win this Sunday are +4000, in case you were wondering. But if props for the Daytona 500 are more your thing, I’d recommend this one.

In 2020, Elliott became the 32nd NASCAR champion from Team Chevy.

Can NASCAR’s most popular driver follow this up with his first win at Daytona? He finished 2nd at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 here in August, which was his best result on the track since joining the NASCAR Cup Series.

Since the top Cup Series props have been released, Elliott’s name has been plastered all over them. But as I’m only focusing on the best prop bets for the Daytona 500, let’s focus on this one.

Have you wondered how many Chevrolet Drivers are in the 2021 Daytona 500? Check it out.

  • Alex Bowman
  • Kurt Busch
  • William Byron
  • Austin Dillon
  • Ty Dillon
  • Chase Elliot
  • Joey Gase
  • Quinn Houff
  • Brennan Poole
  • Ryan Preece
  • Tyler Reddick
  • Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

The last time a Chevrolet car won the Daytona 500 was Austin Dillon in 2018. Before that, the manufacturer clinched back-to-back victories thanks to Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

In 2021, their best chance of winning rests on the shoulders of Elliott. His record at this track might not be great, but he is still learning the trick of the trade here.

I think Elliott’s chances of beating the other Chevy drivers above are worth a gamble at odds of +450.

NASCAR props for the Daytona 500 won’t get much better than this.
